The people of this region live in harmony with the rich nature of the sea, forests, rivers, and blessings of the sea. Since protecting oneself from natural disasters is a way of life for the locals here, they continuously find powerful meaning in living as a society. These people wanted others from around the world to experience and learn from this lifestyle, and so storytellers became established in the region.
Those who pass on such kinds of stories are called "Kataribe".
